The Journey to the Craft
Before Byrd Bound, I pursued entrepreneurship through a packaged food company called Cael Bar. Life eventually led me into law enforcement, where I found greater stability for my family, but I never lost the desire to build something of my own. During those years, I prayed often for God to lead me toward work that combined creativity, entrepreneurship, and eternal purpose.
One night, I came across a video of a well-known apologist showcasing a Bible rebind. I had never heard of Bible rebinding before, but the idea immediately captured me. Within an hour, I felt certain I had found the kind of work I had been praying for: a craft centered around Scripture that allowed me to create something meaningful and lasting.
I began studying bookbinding and practicing every chance I could. My first attempts were far from perfect, but each Bible taught me something new. Day by day, the craft improved, and what started as a late-night discovery grew into Byrd Bound.
Today, I have the privilege of creating custom Bibles for people across the country, with the hope that each one will be read, loved, and passed down for generations.

The Heart of Byrd Bound
My wife, Melanie, is an essential part of Byrd Bound. She manages our social media, photography, videography, and customer support, helping tell the story of our work and making sure our customers are cared for throughout the process. Her creativity, attention to detail, and heart for people are a major part of what Byrd Bound is today.
At its heart, Byrd Bound is a family business built around the Word of God. Every Bible that leaves our workshop represents our desire to honor Christ through our work and create something worthy of carrying Scripture for generations to come.
OUR WORKSHOP DEDICATION
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
— COLOSSIANS 3:23Purpose Over Profit
At Byrd Bound, our mission is to glorify God by using the gifts and abilities He has entrusted to us. We believe our craftsmanship serves a purpose far greater than simply creating beautiful Bibles.
Our desire is to honor and preserve God’s Word by crafting Bibles that will outlive those who carry them. Bibles that will be read, studied, cherished, and eventually passed down to future generations.
We recognize that our time on this earth is temporary, but the Word of God endures forever. Our hope is that the work of our hands will continue serving His people long after our own lives have ended.

Excellence & Integrity
We are committed to doing everything with excellence, from materials to communication, reflecting the character of the One we serve.
PILLAR III
Stewardship of the Word
We believe the most important thing mankind possesses is the Word of God. That conviction is at the heart of everything we do. Our desire is to honor and preserve Scripture through thoughtful craftsmanship, creating Bibles that will serve their owners faithfully for generations. Whether used for personal study, preaching, evangelism, or daily devotion, our hope is that each Bible will encourage a deeper relationship with the Lord and remain a treasured companion throughout a lifetime of faith.
PILLAR IV
Purpose Over Profit
Our business exists to serve the Kingdom of God first and foremost. Every Bible we craft is more than a transaction. It is an opportunity for ministry, thoughtfully designed and individually tailored to the person who will carry it.
We view each Bible as a sword, carefully forged and entrusted to a citizen of the Kingdom, made to equip them with the Word of God.
