Hi, I'm Cael Byrd, the hands behind Byrd Bound. I'm a husband, father, police officer, and craftsman with a passion for creating work that glorifies God and serves His people. What began as a small step of faith has grown into a calling: restoring and rebinding Bibles so they can continue to be treasured for generations.

Byrd Bound was born from a deep love for both entrepreneurship and the Word of God. Years ago, I launched an energy bar packaged food business (Cael Bar), but life circumstances led me to transition into a career in law enforcement to provide greater stability for my family. Even while serving as a police officer, I continued to pray for God to reveal a kind of work that would allow me to create something with eternal value — something that would glorify Him and serve His people.

One night, I came across a video where a well-known apologist showcased a "Bible rebind." I had never heard of Bible rebinding before, but something stirred in me immediately. Within an hour, I knew without a doubt that this was the answer to years of prayer. God had given me the vision for a craft that blended my entrepreneurial spirit, my love for Scripture, and my desire to create something lasting for the Kingdom.

I dove in, studying the art of bookbinding extensively. My early attempts were rough — far from perfect — but each one taught me something new. I practiced daily, constantly asking God to guide my hands and grow my skill. Over time, what began as a midnight discovery became a full-fledged purpose. Today, I'm honored to craft custom Bibles for hundreds of customers — and I believe this is just the beginning.

This journey isn't mine alone. My wife, Melanie, has joined me in the work of Byrd Bound. She brings a careful eye, steady hands, and a heart for serving people alongside me. Together, we approach each Bible not just as a project, but as a ministry — something that will carry God's Word into lives, families, and generations to come.
